A beautiful book to inspire and encourage caregivers.
This book is a wonderful journal about the ups and downs of long-term caregiving by a woman who cared for her mother in her home for over 6 years. She covers all the emotions associated with the task; depression, anger, dispair, etc. She shares what the Lord taught her, and how he helped her deal with it all. Each section concludes with a prayer of thanks or petition regarding the specific situation addressed.
This is a perfect book for any caregiver! It covers the full range of emotions and difficulties one might face in the same situation. Each section is short so that the caregiver with little time or energy can use it as a devotional daily. I gave a copy to a friend of mine who works with hospice patients!
“The Diary of A Mad Caregiver” by Rebecca Grace Collins, is rich with Rebecca’s experiences in dealing with her own emotions, the reactions of her family and friends as she endeavored to be all that her Mother needed for her to be. It is also rich with her open sharing about the ups and downs, the good and bad experiences that go with long-term caregiving – even when the one you are careing for is your own beloved Mother – and how The Lord brought her through it all..
…You will be blessed”
Rebecca Collins writes with passion and compassion; her personal and spiritual experience as a caregiver.
Her story will both comfort and encourage; giving practical and spiritual help for those who find themselves
traveling this journey. This book will fill your heart with HOPE!
A must read for anyone on the road of a “Mad Caregiver”.
Great book, fast service
I found your book on the Fearless Caregiver newsletter. The name of the book pulled me in and I felt compelled to place my order. I’m taking care of my soon to be 90 year old mother (dementia) and find myself feeling and thinking things I’m not proud of and that surprise me. I taught first grade for 37 years before retiring a few years ago and I thought that was challenging! Caregiving is the hardest most stressful job on earth!
Thank you for writing your book for all of us walking this path.
I LOVED the book, I could not put it down. Your daily prayers were beautiful and powerful…I loved the fact that it is easy reading and of course I related to everything…except I do not have to deal with sisters or brothers…“ I even took your book with me to the hospital for encouragement when my mother was in the hospital.
I thought I was going crazy until I read this book.
